Wedding Rings

When I first started making wedding rings many years ago, I wanted to make simple, worn-looking rings, as if they had already lived a life and were now starting a new one.

I didn't want to make rings that looked perfect. Life and relationships are not perfect, but wonky and worn and burnished. For me, the wear and the marks made the piece more beautiful and real. The rings are made slowly and with consideration. Each one unique, like the person wearing the ring. This is very important to me.

I wanted these rings to be ready and open to wear from the first day. Not something to be kept only “for good” or to cause anxiety because a scratch appeared on the surface. Rings that were not about fashion, but made to last and endure.

I write wedding rings, but they are all just rings, maybe chosen to celebrate relationships, or events or private moments of significance. The intention of the ring is up to the wearer of the ring.

Each of these rings can be custom-made in the metal of your choice. All enquiries email info@katherinebowman.com.au
